Meet The Owner!

After being in the car industry for 10 years, Raven decided she was ready for a change.  Growing up around her aunt’s salon, and a family of hair stylists, always had her interested in the beauty industry.  So she took a leap and enrolled in a massage program, then skin esthetics, followed by hair!  After working in local spas, Raven soon realized that she wanted something bigger to help grow salon professionals.  A place to offer great services, within a positive work environment, while providing a career path everyone dreams of.  So in January of 2014, she opened Village Salon and Spa. 

After traveling to attend a Summit Leadership Training in Florida, she came back with the roadmap of transforming the company into a performance based, growth-oriented team environment.  She have since become a member of an elite focus group in the Mid Atlantic area, sponsored by Salon Centric. Where she gets to learn and share ideas with some of the most successful salon and spa companies that are at the top of our industry.  Raven has found a passion in traveling for ongoing education, to bring back to her team.  She is a proud honoree and award winner of Salon Today 200.  It is an annual awards competition held by Salon Today Magazine, that recognizes and celebrates the best and the brightest 200 salon owners in the country for their managerial and leadership skills!   She has a passion for coaching and growing her staff, she says “the fun part is teaching creative artistic souls, how to show off their craft while giving the best guest experience!” Raven also sits on the board at the local Cosmetology school, which allows her to input ideas and see what the local students upcoming in our industry are up to.
