Meet Layla

A South Jersey native, Layla made her way to Delaware shortly after graduating high school to pursue her passion for the beauty industry. She attended The Salon Professional Academy in Dagsboro, Delaware (formerly known as Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology) where she graduated in 2019 and began building the foundation of her career behind the chair.

Layla joined Village Salon & Spa through our associate program, where she completed extensive hands on training and advanced education. Since then, she has continued to grow her expertise through numerous Redken color and cutting certifications and is also Mizani Aircut certified. In 2025, Layla was honored as a featured stylist during New York Fashion Week, an exciting milestone that reflects her dedication to her craft and her growing presence in the industry.

Layla specializes in blonding, balayage, dimensional color, precision cuts, and voluminous blowouts. Known for creating beautiful movement and lived in color, she loves helping guests achieve effortlessly polished styles with a touch of glam. Her signature blowouts are big, bouncy, and full of volume, giving clients that classic “big Jersey hair” finish.

Outside of the salon, Layla enjoys spending time with her two fur babies, Manny and Max. When she’s not behind the chair, you can find her soaking up the sun at the beach, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, taking sculpt, barre, and hot yoga classes, or planning her next travel adventure.
